Nature of Work
Essential Functions (Any one position may not include all of the duties
listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties which may be performed)
Operates and maintains postal meter.
Makes rounds of mail stations in assigned areas;
picks up mail packages and records for delivery; organizes, sorts, stamps and
seals mail for postal delivery or interoffice delivery; and deposits mail to
designated areas and the post office as required.
Maintains control logs for registered and
express packages for tracking and reconciliation purposes.
Assists personnel in preparing packages for
delivery and/or mailing via post office or other mail courier.
Operates passenger vehicle in a safe and
courteous manner, making deliveries to and from other court offices and/or
Maintains vehicle in a safe and clean condition.
Serves as a member of the judiciary's Emergency
Transports court personnel, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Work involves a
significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and
arms; must be able to transfer up to 75 pounds; must be able to climb stairs
repeatedly with heavy loads. Must be
